Forum 6: Resource Discovery Technologies for the Heritage Sector

Held in Rome at the Archivo di Stato di Roma on March 9th 2004, the forum concentrated on the following questions: Which available and potential resource discovery mechanisms are most relevant for heritage resources? How do they match up with user needs, requirements and expectations in the heritage sector? Are there any major improvements in discovery mechanisms heritage institutions should take notice of? In addition, the experts addressed the issue of how to strategically prepare for the most likely future developments in resource discovery technologies.
